Hi RME can you post this as a separate review to this forum . Don’t know how to do it. Was my review. Also the video on YouTube. Please can you also add it to your website. This is my honest opinion and obviously I’m sticking my neck out in this comparison to Chord, so sharing is both in all interests. Hope ok. Please let me know KR Simon

https://www.13thnote.net/2020/02/20/rme … st-killer/

This is my first post here so hello everyone.

I've just got a UFX+ and I'm trying to achieve the best low latency performance possible. I normally work with a high number of VI tracks, (usually Kontakt) so just looking to squeeze very last drop of performance from my set-up.

I'm looking for any and all tweaks I can do within either Windows 10, my BIOS, Cubase 9 or the UFX+ itself.

Should also mention I'm using the UFX+ over TB via an Apple TB adapter into an Asus Thunderbolt EX3 card.

Just a quick note on my specs too if helpful:

Win 10 PRO
Asus X99 A-II
i7 6900k
64GB RAM
Asus GTX 960
SSD OS and Sample Drive

Thanks!

How to record 64 digital microphones simultaneously? All over MADI.

Galaxy Studios is a music recording, mixing, mastering and postproduction facility established in Mol, Belgium. For a new recording project, Galaxy Studios started a collaboration with Sennheiser / Neumann and RME. With two recording studios and two control rooms, they
built enough space for a 70-piece Philharmonic Orchestra and a large number of singers. All audio content was recorded simultaneously with analog and digital microphones. More details here: For recording with the analog microphones a NEVE 88D console was used, while 8 RME DMC-842 M where used to control the digital microphones, to convert the AES42 signals to MADI and to deliver combined MADI streams for the recording in ProTools.
More details here:
https://archiv.rme-audio.de/download/ca … _Study.pdf

RME distributor Synthax UK was lucky to be invited down to a Coldplay rehearsal last week (May 2011) in Earls Court London. A video interview with Miller (Coldplay's MIDI and Pro Tools tech, and web content producer) explains how the RME Fireface 800, Fireface UFX and the Babyface are used on the tour and in the studio. He also talks about how the UFX is much better than a competitor's product used with Fostex HDs and Pro Tools, and how he records the show directly to a USB stick.

See the video on RME's Youtube channel:
http://www.youtube.com/user/RMEAudio#p/ … OQPKn7Vzv4
