Hi Acul,
Yes as Jeff mentioned this sounds like Direct monitoring is enabled.
The best way to use external hardware synths in Cubase would be as "External Instrument".
This way they will behave more like Virtual Instrument.
You just just do Real time Bounce when you need to using Cubase Audio export functions.
Chapter 2 of the Cubase manual explains how to use External Instruments.

Thanks Chris

Hello, this is probably due to your setup in Cubase, check to see if you have "ASIO Direct Monitoring" enabled. Direct monitoring routes input direct to output within TotalMix. Software monitoring allows you to monitor through Cubase with effects, but also with added latency.

Hello,

I bought a Fireface a few days ago.

I work with hardware Synths and Cubase, so I generated inputs mono in 1, 2, ... in Cubase for the Synths and created Audio Channels. The signal mono In is routed to Audio 1, 2 ... . I receive Signal, but if I add insert effects, I can not listen to them, while playing a Synth.
Recording is no problem. Then adding effects is well.

Could there be a problem with the routing in Total Mix or is this problem Cubase?
Any advice would be helpful.

Regards, Acul
