the first series of shipped HDSPe MADI cards had a hardware compatibility problem. The most often experienced effect is that when the card is plugged in, the computer either does not boot at all, or the monitor display stays dark because the graphics card is not initialized.

The error stayed undiscovered because all motherboards we used for testing did not show any problem. The first boards where problems were reported came from MSI (some might remember), but then we also had to learn that the incompatibility can also show up as unstable behaviour of the whole DAW on many other boards - no simple 'no boot', no simple detection of the problem. The problem can show up in many different flavours.

More than half a year later we are astonished that of this first batch cards are still sold and did not find their way back to our manufacturing for modification. Or did work in a computer, are then put into a different one and bamm.

We therefore release the below list of serial numbers. All these cards did not come back for modification, so they must be there somewhere in the world, either on the shelf or working. Please return them to your local dealer or distributor. Cards that will be returned after the warranty period will not be modified for free anymore!
