I installed the latest Sonoma beta om my home laptop, installed the Sonoma compatible beta of Audio Hijack and to my surprise it is still using a kernel ACE audio engine requiring the reduced security setting.
This makes me think that those of us who have the RME kernel drivers can continue using that even after the Sonoma release.

Or does anyone else have a better insight into this?
