Omg I just found the solution to the problem.

With iPadOS17 comes a feature to analyse the output volume of USB audio accessories, to check if it’s not too loud, for your security and get graphs in the Health App. You need to deactivate it:
Settings App > Sounds > at the bottom Earphone security (or something like that), then again at the bottom USB audio accessories > deactivate the current USB audio accessory so the output volume doesn’t get registred in the Heath App.

I’m on iPad Pro 2019 (3rd Gen). Latest iPadOS 17.0.2.
Just tried with AUM and TM FX says 18/2 even though I have Multichannel activated.

I have closed all the apps, and restarted the iPad. Insane I don’t know why it’s not working…

iPadOS 17.0.2. AUM, Cubasis and Auria show 18 channels in and out. TM FX says 0/18.

IMHO you have an app running that limits output to 2 channels.

When I go back to normal mode and hook up the UCX to a Windows 10 PC on Ableton Live, everything works correctly and I have all the inputs/outputs available. But then when I go back to the iPad on CC mode, no luck, only 1/2 out available.

Hi, yes I’ve updated to the latest Driver on Windows 10, and then to the latest firmware.
It says DSP 26 on Total Mix for iPad.

Hi there.

I’ve been using my iPad Pro 3rd gen for few years successfully with my RME UCX in CC mode, got all the input/output working with lots connected external EQs and Compressors, awesome.

But since the update to iPadOS 17, I don’t have all the outputs available anymore, except 1/2, in Logic Pro or Cubasis. I cannot route the audio out to 3/4, 4/5, etc.
I still have multiple Input option. But I need my multi outputs as well…

In total Mix for iPad, I do have Background Mode activated, as well as Output Channel Count Req. set to “Multichannel”.
But the line “Channel Running (IN/OUT)” only shows 0/2.

Any idea on how to fix this and get my workflow back?
