SoundID it's a grat piece of software... but what I missed it's a phisical knob, exactly. Unfortunately Dante network it's a strange but powerfull way of thinking and it's not easy to spot a dante-enabled product working with a simple knob at a reasonable price. All Dante products generally are very expensive, but for me it's too late to change protocol. Focusrite produce R1 controller, but it's non compatible with my D16 converter it seems. UFX it's a great trick but, as usual, force me out to Dante network and the digital routing should result a little bit hard to understand. Ginger Audio gave me fale hopes last year, until I discovered only Mac... no way. Excluding Avid and Grace Design it seems that RTW represents the only affordable (or almost) solution. Oria it's a good choice, but... sincerely I'd never and never pay 3000 bucks to connect my Atmos amp in to TRS outputs, personal view...

Do you need hardware? I use my old UFX as a volume knob and handle all speaker eq and delays with Sonarworks Sound ID and my daw (Nuendo). For software solutions there is Sphere by Ginger Audio (Mac only). For hardware that can handle b chain: Audient Oria, Avid Mtrx Studio, Grace m908–all very expensive. Still keeping my fingers crossed that RME comes out with a solution.

yes. starting for scratch in a new Atmos projet, those solutions above should be very interesting. but I've got all ADA converters and a Dante-connected studio, that's a rock-solid setup. Switching to madi for example would force me to change the world...

Hi there! first time here...
I'm switching my studio to a 7.1.4 Atmos setup, looking for a reasonable-price monitor controller. Very hot matter I suppose, but I didn't found here any exhaustive experience with this kind of setup. RME website doesn't help too much, surround environment seems a little bit confused... you are my very last chance to obtain answers I need before purchasing something.

My I/O setup it's basically made by a RedNet D16 (it's a Dante to Aes converter) and a couple of Lucid 88192 for discrete ADA conversion. With Nuendo 14 on Win11.
So, in this setup clearly lacks of a Dante enabled monitor controller. First choce was RTW Touchcontrol 5, very pratical, with a lot of features, and a lot of money. It's very intresting for my budget Digiface Dante with its Totalmix FX. It's obvious, monitor control made by software it's a bet, but I think with a few pratice and tricks could be a very powerful system. My questions:

1. I need to correct eq and phase in each 12 speaker. does Digiface Dante supports single channel EQ on every Totalmix outputs?? it's a specs that I'm not able to find anywhere. I'm sorry, really I never put the hand on this software...

2. Is it possible to control 12 output channel level simultaneously? I suppose with a group?

3. What can ARC could really control in an Atmos setup? I guess level (of the previous group?), what about muting and soloing? only with totalmix control panel?

4. Is anybody here with a similar setup? could be a right and durable choice for a studio?

thank you so much, any advice will be precious for me.
