It's the normal case of forwarding of audio on the device itself, in this case between Dante and MADI.

TotalMix FX is not in the signal flow; it's only for control. So if you do not route through a DAW but directly on the interface itself, you should only have the usual delay of around 1-3 samples for the forwarding between the FPGA and Dante chip, or in other words, between Dante and MADI and vice versa. No traffic (besides control traffic, metering) goes through USB in this case.

I see standalone operation mode here only as an additional feature to be able to route between Dante and MADI "out of the box" without having to configure a routing using TotalMix FX.

Hello, we have a totally Dante stage, with my digifaceDANTE (USB connected to my laptop) working as DAW soundcard AND monitor mixer for the band.
Since I need to connect to a Waves LV1 console for FOH, I'm cosidering routing all signals in Totalmix to MADI and then convert MADI to SOUNDGRID with a separate device.
My question is : since the digiface is USB connected, will I have any latency routing the DANTE inputs to MADI outputs ?
I'm reading there is no latency when the digiface works STANDALONE.
Thank you for your opinions about this kind of unusual routing!
