I basically don't use Bootcamp, or Parallels Desktop to run my Windows apps. I use Codeweavers Crossover for Mac:

You don't need to re-boot and you don't need a Windows license. It just runs Windows apps like they were on the Mac. Got this lead from Earle Holder over at http://www.har-bal.com. and he also has a great audio program you might wanna' check out. Just thought this might help some of you out.

FF400 + iMac + Bootcamp + Windows 7 (!!) works just fine!

no crackles, no pops, no nothing.

However, I had to use the registry fix described in the page above - the downloadable .exe fix didn't work because I have SP3 installed and the .exe tells me I don't need the fix (which is patently false.)

I'm running Cubase 5.1 on XP SP3 in Boot Camp.

Im aktuellen Bootcamp hei?t KbgMgr.exe jetzt anders und zwar Bootcamp.exe.

Abschalten wirkt echt Wunder!

Schick mir Dein Macbook Pro samt Interface und Software (plus Ilok) vorbei, dann kann ich genau sagen, was da nicht richtig l?uft (vor allem im Vergleich zu meinem eigenen Macbook Pro late 2008).

Ich habe ein ganz gro?es Problem hier, dass mich mittlerweile schon sehr lange belastet (seit Kauf des neuen Mac Pro um Genau zu sein...Mai09)

Ich bin Apple User und ben?tze via Boot Camp Windows XP SP2 als Musicsystem, urspr?nglich hatte ich ein Macbook 13``mit Fireface 400 auch via Bootcamp (damals 1.4 BETA) und konnte ohne Probleme an meinen Projekten arbeiten (NUENDO 3.2.0)

Mittlerweile besitze ich ein Macbook PRO 2.4GHz Dual Intel Core auf OS X 10.5.7 bzw. WIN XP SP3 und FF400 die ich gerade wieder bekommen habe, da Gew?hrleistungsfall (und NUENDO 3.2.0).

Auf OS X l?uft alles wie immer tadelos, aber auf meinem WIN SYSTEM habe ich sobald ich NUENDO starte ein digitales Clipping und kann keine Projekte abspielen, egal welche Buffersize, gleiches mit WIN Media Player. ?ber den internen MMDriver l?sst sich alles abspielen.

Ich habe mich in den Foren stutzig gemacht und gemerkt das dieses Problem auch schon 2007 vorgekommen ist, ich habe mittlerweile schon alles erdenkliche versucht:

Das System ist auf Audio optimiert und (fast) alles das ich nicht zum Musikmachen brauche ist deaktiviert (Grafikkarte schnikschnak-> Powermizer bei Nvidia enabled, Internet etc und mit Tune UP alle nicht brauchbaren Files gel?scht/ repariert, KbdMgr Killed...).

Neuinstall NUENDO, Neuinstall FF mit aktuellsten Treibern, Firewire Driver Update, unter anderem 2 Interfaces (AudiECHO, MOTU 828) drangeh?ngt, bei AudioECHO hat sich WIN sofort nach Installieren des Treibers aufgeh?ngt

und bei MOTU 828 bekam ich bei Media Player keinen Sound raus,

bei Start von NUENDO bzw. als ich in die device settings ging und die Soundkarte umstellen wollte: "The device is on a bus that cannot support this transfer rate."

Mit meinem alten MBook und BC Beta lief alles wie geschmiert, WTF ist hier los???!!!! Gleiches bei Versuch FF800 dranzuh?ngen, gleiches Problem wie mit FF400...

Meines Erachtens kann es nur ein Firewire Problem und/ oder BootCamp Problem sein, ich hab auch gelesen das es MOTU und anderen Usern mit diversen Interfaces genaus bzw. ?hnlich erging, aber das: FW DRIVER 885222 and 904412 sind im SP3 dabei.  Was interessant ist, dass bei allen Threads die ich gelesen habe nur Mac Pro User dieses Problem hatten und keine Apple User die das kleine MBook hatten!

Ich bin mit meiner Geduld am Ende, da ich endlich wieder gerne Musik machen m?chte und nicht mit Equipment das mich etwa 2500,- gekostet hat wie ein Administrator auf Fehlersuche gehen muss.

Es kann nicht sein dass dieses Problem schon 2 Jahre existiert und anscheinend noch immer nicht fixed ist, BITTE UM TROUBLESHOOTING : )

Welche M?glichkeiten kann man noch aussch?pfen, ohne wieder 2-3 Wochen BC neu aufzusetzen um dann zu hoffen dass dies eventuell funktioniert (Ich habe die FF400 etwa 2 Jahre, diese einzutauschen gegen eine FF400USB ist nehme ich mal an nicht m?glich?).

I have a problem since a few months now, exactly since I bought a Mac PRO...May09

I?m Apple user and use WIN XP SP2 as my MUSICSYSTEM via BOOT CAMP, I formerly had a Macbook 13??with Fireface 400 via BC Beta 1.4 and was able to to work on my projects without any problems (NUENDO 3.2.0)

Now I have a MAC PRO 2.4GHz Dual Intel Core on OS X 10.5.7 /  WIN XP SP2 und FF400 and NUENDO 3.2.0.

On OS X everything runs clearly without any troubles, but on my WIN SYS I have digital clipping/ crackling when I start NUENDO or WIN Media Player (when NUENDO is in the background clipping isn?t there...) With the internal MMDriver I can play everything without any problems...

I hooked diverse forums and considered that this problem exists since 2007, so I tried everything I read there:

ReInstall NUENDO, ReInstall FF400 with newest drivers, Newest Firewire Update, moreover 2 other interfaces (AudioECHO, MOTU 828), after the installation of the AudioECHO driver WIN crashed

with MOTU 828 I couldn?t get any sound from Media Player,

when I started NUENDO and got into the device settings to change the soundcard I got this message: "The device is on a bus that cannot support this transfer rate." I wasn?t able to go to CueMix (Mixer of MOTU)...totaly the same pro with FF800 as with FF400 (tried yesterday...)

With my old MBook 13??and BCAMP Beta I didn?t have any troubles, so can?t imagine what?s goin on here??!!!!

Maybe it could be a Firewire and/or Boot Camp problem - i also read that MOTU and other users with various interfaces have/ had the same problems. FW DRIVER 885222 and 904412 are packed in the SP3, but what is interesting: that just (what I read in the threads) only MAC PRO user have these kind of problems, neither users which have an (old) little MBook 13``.

I can?t stand it anymore, just want to make music again and not searching in forums anymore....i spent 2500,- EUROS on expensive so called HIGHQUALITY equipment which doesn?t work!!!!

It can?t be that this problem exist since 2 years and isn?t fixed till now, please help me TROUBLESHOOTING : )

Are there any possibilities without setting up BootCamp for the next 2-3 weeks to hope that it maybe could work????

i have the same problems...using BC nu MB PRO, FF400 & NUENDO 3.2 (with my MB 13``i had no problems with the same setup...)
tried everything i read here, killing KBDMGR doesn?t help in my case...any suggestions? thanks
