hi! i'm back again
i'm already partially recording but soon or late
I need to know more about how to configure/explore and use
hdspe+expresscard and hdsp mixer window properly..
tutorial videos are not my best,
so please give me some basic advise to start to

Please have a look on this beginners tutorial video for TotalMix. But as TotalMix by default routes the incoming signals to any software and outgoing signals from the audio software to the Multiface outputs it?s probably a cabling or Logic configuration error. When your OctoPre cable transmits ADAT to the Multiface you have to set the optical input to ADAT (not SPDIF).

i would like to know what is hdsp mixer all about,
i dont know how to configure that,
i do record from external keyboard, but cant get any keyboard sounds
nor while playing either recording or playing it back,
just software instruments from logic pro is all what i get,
it seems to be some atribution inside logic, il try to find out

but, then im trying to connect audio inputs (mic/line in) from
focusrite platinum octopre to hdsp and
im completely out of this, dont know how to make it work
i did try connecting optical wire to spdif/adat, but no signal at all

You mean, you are trying to record from the QS8 without an audio cable to some of the Multiface audio inputs? It needs at least a connection from the QS8 main outputs (L/R) to two analog inputs of the Multiface (1/2) to get some sound from the QS8 synth into your sequencer.

back again, hi
I can record from external instrument but only using software instruments sounds from logic pro 8,
not from alesis banks, and everythings seems to be all right for a minute, then sounds stops
while i can see the sequencer continue to record events....!!??

You need to install drivers for OS X from http://www.rme-audio.de/en_downloads.php

You'll need to get the intel drivers I think.

Install and reboot - you should be able to select the hammerfall device in logic audio preferences after that.

hi everybody
I just got a macbook pro plus logic pro 8, out to a hammerfall DSP multiface conected to Alesis QS8 keyboard
and CAN NOT do it work properly...i dont know how to put it in preferences of Logic,or even conect them all.
please any advise will be great!!!
