all leds of the adi 648 are flashing very wildly when it gets turned on.  after a few minutes (up to half an hour), they stop flashing and appear to go back to normal.

Temporary error. We have seen something like this with defective quartzes and defectiver power supplies. The unit needs service...

so what does that mean?

we've synced the adi to an extern clock and it's supposed to forward that extern clock to other adat-devices. we've connected a motu 828 mk1 and a rme multiface II to the adi and they both loose sync. the corresponding sync-led of the adi is flashing now.

are the adat-cables broken?
