thanks, Im still trying to figure out what kind of FW chipset this machine has - seems like the only non mac laptop that I have come across that has FW800...general consensus seems that the Texas Instruments chipset is the best...

There isn't really a "right" or "wrong" - try it out and see what works best on your system...

I am one of the many proud owners of a FF800...

I just recently purchased a Lacie d2 1TB Quadra FW 800 HDD...could anybody shed some light on what the daisy chain sequence should be?...I figured the drive should go between the computer and the FF800...
