Hi music friends,

The Problem:

I installed Cubase Studio 5 and FF800 on my laptop. Everything is running under Vista 32 bit on
a SONY Laptop (T6400, 4 GB RAM).
Now when I get to play one (1 stereo!) audio track, I get at irregular intervals, every few seconds, dropouts/click.
WLAN, Bluetooth is disabled. ASIO display shows one or two strokes ( 2 or 3 %). By the click it jumps very short to CLIP and I hear even a click/pop.
To rule out, that the Sony is too weak, I have everything installed on Samsung R580 Madril laptop. The behavior is the same. ASIO show max. one stroke, bud every few seconds with CLIP. I have experimented with various buffer size, but also even at 512 or below I get the click. And there are no effects or virtual instruments running!

FF800 has latest firmware and I have also tested last two driver.

Samsun run with FireWire (400) over an eCard, Sony has built-in FireWire port.

Now I know really no further?

Can someone give me an advice please? Or has had someone this problem too?

Thank you very much for answer!

Joe
