Topic: RME Digi9652 Hammerfall question

We are working with a somewhat similar issue.  We have been using an RME Digi9652 Hammerfall card .running on Windows 98 without problems for some ten or more years.  We have been using Wave Lab 3.0 and Cakewalk Pro Audio 9.0.  However all of our projects so far have been 16 bit.  We now need to work with some 24 bit 48000 mhz files, and the driver no longer appears to work.  Is there any driver for Windows 98 that will work with 24 bit files?  Or do we have to get a new machine with a new operating system (which we would rather avoid)?  Will the old card even work on a new machine?

The driver does not handle audio files, the audio software does. And the 9652 will certainly play 24 bit audio. What exactly is the problem here?

The card will work on Windows 7, 32 bit.
