Audio disappears with cpu peaks - have to swap between 44.1 & 48KHz to get audio back.

i had this problem in Lion and now with clean install of mountain lion.
i also have the latest driver and firmware
it have worked flawlessly before so i think this is a driver or firmware bug, i does not happen when i use internal speakers.

i have
macbook pro late 2009 2,53 GHz intel core duo
8 GB ram
i have connected Genelec 8240A with GLM software over Aes/eub from the ufx

Re: Audio disappears with cpu peaks - have to swap between 44.1 & 48KHz to

I'm not sure if this is going to help, but I had a similar problem (audio dropouts and CPU spikes) when trying to run digital audio at different sample rates - the UFX and my DAW (Nuendo) were set to 48kHz, but the digital audio from a Roland V-drum system was fixed at 44.1kHz.  The solution was to buy a sample rate converter to run the V-drums through so that everything was running at 48kHz.

thanks for the reply, but i dont have my v-drums connected at this time. i have set all my connected stuff to 48KHz.
but i know what you mean, i have had this issue as vel smile
