Hi RME,

I have the ff400 (latest drivers/firmware) hooked up to my laptop (win 7 64) running ableton and I'm getting very frequent CPU overloads (every 15-30 minutes) in which the Ableton CPU meter jumps up to +100 and eventually the program freezes. After that closing the application will not bring back audio capability, ie. even windows audio stutters until I shut down FF400 and bring it back up again.

Has anyone experienced similar or is RME aware of any issues related to recent driver updates etc? I have deleted Ableton preferences file and tried a variety of settings but nothing seems to work. It is not an overheating issue either because all the temperature meters show plenty of headroom in that area too.

I would just want to rule out either Ableton or RME out of the equation cause this is driving me nuts. Impossible to get any serious work done.
