Topic: UFX mic channel 11 has a signal without any input.

I just received UFX and hooked it up through USB. Updated the firmware and the driver of UFX.
Now, I have Totalmix 0.983 and Driver 1.024

Mic channel 11 has -50db signal on TotalMix when there;s no input at all. Other channels stays around -100db.
Also, Sig lamp keeps flashing on Mic input 11 on the front pannel of UFX with no cable connection.
does my interface have a problem? Please Help me on this!

Please check the gain setting for the channel in Totalmix.

Gains set at 10.0 like any other channel. and the mic channel 11 is the only one which has a green meter sitting around -53 db.

No EQ, the faders are all the way down. This was the first time I install the TOtalMix and UFX.

This is very annoying. am I using the latest fimware and a driver? thank you.

Thank you, I talked to Jeff yesterday and
I'm waiting for a new unit coming, BTW, this came to my mind,

Which one would I expect better performance on my PC either installing through USB or Firewire?
I guess it all depends on my computer chipset.
Currently, I'm using Asus p9x79 mainboard with intel i7 3930k. and have 1 x IEEE 1394a port with a good amount of USB2.0 and 3.0 ports

I don't mind using both but for speed, stability and lower cpu usage?

See test results here: http://forum.dawbench.com/showthread.ph … n-Progress

Short answer is if everything is optimal on your computer, performance is nearly identical. At a given buffer size, USB has slightly low round trip latency, FW gives you a bit more CPU power for plugs.
