Hi

i just bought an Fireface UCX and there seems to be a problem with USB connectivity. Everything works fine with Firewire.

When I plug the usb cable - nothing happens. The FireFace USB settings app won't load. When I try to load the app, nothing happens either. TotalMixFX won't find a device to to connect to. I have the latest drivers (USB driver 1.76)

When I try the USB flash update, I get this error message: "No Fireface driver or device installed" Strange, since the apple system profiler detects the UCX as an USB device.

I tried the USB flash update on another computer, another usb cable, and I tried using a USB 2.0 hub. No luck.

I can connect to a freind's Fireface UFX, and the USB flash update will open up fine, and give me the option to update that unit. But not my UCX. I am suspecting some kind of hardware USB problem here...

My system is a brand new MacBook Pro 15", running 10.8.1. All latest RME drivers installed.

Any ideas?
