Topic: Hooking up my Fireface UFX to the Eventide H8000 effects processor
Hello all...new user here (noob certified). I just bought my Fireface UFX and I'm trying to hook it up to my my Eventide H8000. Here's what I have connected thus far:
Outputs on channels 7 and 8 from UFX go to my speakers
Outputs 3 and 4 of UFX go to 1 and 2 inputs on the H8000
Outputs 1 and 2 on H8000 go to inputs 3 and 4 on UFX
All connections made via TRS cables.
Using Logic
So how do I send an audio track in Logic Pro (after it is recorded and put into the arrange window, i.e a vocal) to an effect in the H8000? Are my hookups incorrect? If I send a signal out to the H8000 (via output channels 3 and 4 on UFX) do I have to return the signal back to the UFX (via outputs 1 and 2 on the H8000 into inputs 3 and 4 of UFX)?
If all my cables/hookups are correct, how do I set it all up in both Logic and TotalMix? I basically want to record a vocal dry and send it to the H8000 for some effects and then bounce that audio file to a new audio track (with the effects)
Please help! Sorry if my question seems 'noob-ified'
