Topic: Frustrated! Recording vocals with the UFX..

Hello all! I was wondering if anyone out there knew how to record a vocal in Logic Pro from the Fireface UFX WITH the effects from the UFX. I really like how the reverb and delay effects from the UFX sound in my microphone but when I go to record the vocal in Logic Pro the vocal is completely dry. Basically just want to know how to set it up in Logic so the effects from the UFX are recorded with the vocal. This could happen in 2 ways (either of which I am fine with):

1. The effects are recorded with the vocal (and I'm fine being stuck with that effect FOREVER)
2. The vocal is recorded dry and then create a new audio track with the effects added in later

Any ideas on how to set this up in Logic? On the UFX I have mic going into input 9 (mono). Main outs on UFX set to outputs 7 and 8. using outputs 9 and 10 for headphones while I sing my behind off!!

Thanks all!

Re: Frustrated! Recording vocals with the UFX..

1- if you want to permanently record the reverb, LoopBack the OUTPUT that you're hearing the Reverb on, and record it's corresponding input (if you hear the reverb on Headphones 9/10, Record inputs 9/10).

2- If you want to record the wet signal only do the following: on an unused output pair, turn down the vocal fader on THAT new output (eg. HP 11/12), and turn up the FX return on it. now loop it back and you should only get the wet signal on ins 11/12 and the dry signal from your mic input (provided that the mic is not plugged in inputs 11 or 12)

If I remember correctly on the UCX there is a check box in the settings menu that will toggle the effects in and out of the record path. It may be the same on the UFX...
