Topic: How to control gain on in and outs (all analog ones) on FF UCX in DAW?

Hi all

I have a slight problem working out how to control gain on the in and outputs (analog) while in my DAW. I have synths routed to all analog ins and have subgroups and master on the outs going to a mixer. My problem is that I can't find a way to set the gains for the inputs? I must forget or not see something I guess but it is driving me nuts!

Also for example analog in 7/8 - the signal comes in too low into the DAW - (it seems a little higher in the RME software) but no way to adjust it?  This is my CD recorder output, the signal on the recorder from the mixer is perfect yet going into the RME it seems very low

Should I instead route Synths to analog in 7/8 that have an output control?

Anyone able to give me a few tips here?

Many DAW programs do not have input gain control. Evem if, this control would be post-onversion. It's better to raise the level of the input signal or to adjust the input level reference in the channel settings (+4/-10).

Should I instead route Synths to analog in 7/8 that have an output control?

Apparently, an output control will not control input levels... HeadScratch

Do you mean the input level reference on the channel settings in mix software?

As I can't seem to find a way when working in my DAW to control the gain for analog inputs 7/8 on the UCX should I connect a synth that has a master volume control rather than a CD recorder which does not have an output volume controller (HHB CDR 850)?
