Topic: Possible Mac CPU problems w/ audio driver
This may not be applicable, but thought I'd see what I could find out.
I have a mid 2011 MacBook Pro. Running Mountain Lion and it's up to date.
Usereventagent is at 87% CPU
launchd is at 17% CPU
I've read this problem occurring with audio drivers, but never with RME drivers.
I have tried to look for the reasons for this on the interenet, but nothing seems apply. Most usereventagent CPU problems are due to USB keyboards issues. I don't use an external keyboard. I have a USB hub. I plug a printer into it, RME Babyface, Line 6 POD HD 500, and an external hard drive. I stopped using the USB hub since I thought it might be causing the problem, but it happened again with nothing plugged into the USB slots. The computer had been restarted as well. I have no clue what is causing this, but my fan is running super loud and of course everything is slowing down on the computer. I recently put in new RAM. Went from 4GB to 8GB. I got the RAM from crucial.com. Never had issues with their stuff before. The RAM seemed to helped quite a bit when I put it in. I don't think this issue started until a while after I put the new RAM in.
Any help would be appreciated.
