Topic: Time code option with LOGIC 7

Has anyone experimented, the use of external time code into Logic pro7 ?

My configuration :
MacPro Intel: 10.4.10
Madi RME PCIe + TCO option
audio connected with optical fiber
audio synchronisation with wordclock on madi board.
TC in coming from a external generator
Last driver installed, and Logic 7.2.3

The time code is read successfully by the driver,
The hardware seems working, but I cannot configure Logic to read this time code !

No success also with Peakpro 5 and Garageband, but I'm not sure that it is possible with that two software.

Has anyone any solution ?
Thanks

Re: Time code option with LOGIC 7

As described in the manual of the TCO you have to use the card's virtual MIDI input port for MTC sync in Logic.

Thanks for answer.

Or other  screenshot from the driver state here:

Can I have a confirmation that it DOES work ?

Re: Time code option with LOGIC 7

It does not work; the TCO cannot generate time code.  It sounds unbelievable for a time code option to be unable to generate time code, but I'm afraid that's the deal.  I bought two of them for the purpose of generating time code, and they are both serving as expensive generators of the number zero (0).  :-(

Re: Time code option with LOGIC 7

SO, the only answer I receive on this RME forum is that :
THE TIME CODE OPTION (TCO) IS UNABLE TO DELIVER ANY TIME CODE !
INCREDIBLE.

Re: Time code option with LOGIC 7

I looked through all your screenshots but did not see where you selected the MTC MIDI port of the HDSPe MADI as MTC source.

One screenshot showed 48015 Hz on the TCO page. This bug is harmless, just a wrong display, but will be fixed soon.

YES !
I don't know where I could choose this MTC MIDI port selection on LOGIC Pro !
And with Peak Pro 5 , I have a MTC midi port box to select, but it doesn't work either.

On which Midi port does the LTC board (or driver) generate the MTC ?

For the frequency,I know, I have read this also. I installed the latest driver 2.56, but nothing better.

Thanks

Re: Time code option with LOGIC 7

Hi,

sorry for all the trouble - we just found that MTC is broken in the OS X driver when using the HDSPe MADI card. New driver tomorrow!
