Topic: babyface pro encoder/rotary knob

just receiced my pro today, still have my old babyface,
on the pro the knob/rotator is really harsh to rotate, is that ment to be like this?
to on the position (if it was a analogue clock  on 25 minutes) it sounds like it is passing over something (clunk noise) physically noticable, is that a must or a problem?

The encoder works totally different, more stiff/solid/fixed. Scratch noise while turning is not ok, though.
