Topic: Can’t seem to get FireWire working on my UCX?

Hello RME peoples.

RME newby question

Recently bought a UCX second hand and it didn’t come with the install disc.
I have it working via the USB but I want to use it via Thunderbolt/FireWire.
Reason being I want to free up the USB ports I have.

I have a brand new Thunderbolt to FW adaptor and FW cable.

I’m running a 2010 unibody (white) MacBook Pro with Yosemite 10.10

Can anyone point me to the exact drivers and firmware I need and the process to install them in the correct way.

Thanks

Hi Daniel, well when I first got it running I could see the UCX in Soundforge via the USB cable. But if i only have the FireWire/Thunderbolt cable connected it does not show up in Soundforge.
I wondered then if I needed older drivers because I am running Yosemite 10.10 or should the latest drivers work with 10.10?
