Topic: ADI-2-DAC: Yellow exclamation mark in device manger

Hi,

without installing the MADIface drivers my ADI-2 DAC FS ("old" version; latest firmware) is shown in the device manager with a yellow exclamation mark under 'Other devices' (Windows 10 1909).  I tested different computers with the same result.

Code28 (device drivers not installed)
Hardware IDs:
USB\VID_2A39&PID_3FD3&REV_0001&MI_03
USB\VID_2A39&PID_3FD3&MI_03

The DAC is functional. Since I want to use WASAPI I prefer the class compliant device drivers window provides. Is there a way to get rid of the unrecognized device in the device manager without installing the MADIface driver?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Brown!  Welcome to the Group.

If your not having problems otherwise, dont worry about it.  Our Computers are always trying to "save" us from something. smile

As this forum is heavily populated by Europeans, we need to understand that it's rather late there.  smile    Trust that one of the Resident I.T. experts in the forum will surely chime in, and explain all.

In the meantime?  Enjoy your Device.  Nothing is Wrong.

Best!

This is an unsupported firmware port. No need to worry, and doesn't cause any problem. As long as the unit shows up in Sound, Video and Game controllers (which it does, otherwise it wouldn't work for you) everything is ok.
