Topic: Remap Polarity

Hello,

I do a lot of mastering and I've recently begun to take advantage of the REMAP feature of the adi2pro.

I noticed that when I attempt to map the "polarity" function to one of the keys it always flips the polarity of "both" channels.

Is it possible to assign only one channel to flip polarity? I'd love to be able to quickly listen to the side information to hear for any sort of clipping/unwanted distortion.

Essentially, I'm looking if there's a way to remap "phase invert left / phase invert left OFF"

thanks!

Re: Remap Polarity

Flipping polarity of one channel does not give you the M/S side channel.

You would need to do a mono sum after reversing polarity of the Right channel.

This is not possible with ADI-2 Pro because "Mono"- function is located before "Phase" reversal stage.

M/S math:
(+L)+(+R)=Mid
(+L)+(-R)=Side
each result is a single channel, just doing the sign reversal on R is only half of the job, watch out for the () brackets, calculation inside backets comes first.

Re: Remap Polarity

Let me think...
You can probably do the polarity in channel 1/2, and the. Use xlr cable (or digital) to connect output to input. Then set 3/4 as a preamp of 1/2 input (Or the processes digital input), and do the mini sum.

Pretty messy I concede.
