Topic: Setting the RME to fixed gain ( max volume)

Hi,
I am brand new to the forum and not that tech savvy as you will soon discover.

Q can anyone explain to me how to set fixed gain please on the DAC, I presume it’s from the volume menu but to be honest an idiots explanation would be most welcome. ( setting it back would be good as well)

Otherwise the DAC is stunning!!

Many thanks
Gareth

Hi Gareth!   Welcome aboard!

How about we take a look at section 19.3 in your User Manual.    This gives you a nice overview of Volume Function.

Then...you will find "Ref Level" in the I/O menu on the device.   Work slowly.. keep your Manual at hand, and you'll have no issues.

Best!
