- disabling CPU core parking
- using BIOS settings that disable energy saving and keep the clock stable

This is my choice wink

I've disabled C1E, C3 State Support, C6/C7 State Support, CPU EIST Function, keeping just Hyper Threading and Turbo Boost Enabled.

What I need for Windows...
Simply for the active monitors ...
WDM device for the UFX+ AES port, as my ADI-2 Pro FS R BE is connected through AES.

A lot in this thread; didn't read everything. 

I'm on Windows 10, been through much of this latency-chasing. 

I record at 24/48 with a 256 buffer. 

I had a complex default template in Reaper with a bunch of plugins.  That, plus having a browser open, gave me dropouts at 128 buffer.  Now I use a minimal recording template, try to close the browser (but its ok if I don't usually), and have the higher buffer and everything is fine. 

There's a touch of audible latency but no big deal.  I sing, play guitar and use a MIDI keyboard.
