Topic: Ranking the converters
Hello Everybody
I would like to know where you place the Octamic ll compared to these others :
Adi8QS, Babyface ProFs, ADI2pro
I mean only the converters.
How close comes the Octamic ll to the Adi8QS ? Pros and cons ?

Based on what criteria?
Are you aware of, that you can't use the Octamic II as D/A converter like an ADI-2 Pro or ADI-8 QS ?
It has no ADAT inputs so that you could connect this unit to a recording interfaces ADAT port to get additional ports for D/A.
Also the AES input is only to get clock through AES1 IN.
The analog outputs are more something that I would describe as analog CUE ports.
Check manual.
Ramses ! You are absolut right. I was not checking this carefully enough.
It is not that all-in-one solution I was lurking for.
Adat converter with 8 Micpres and 8 Line-outs for headphones with monitormix.
Such unit does not yet exist from RME in this size and price range. May be Octamic lll ? I would buy one.
