Topic: RME ADI 2 PRO FS r for mastering

I want to use the ADI 2 PRO FS as converter in my mastering chain. The ADI2 pro fs is connected via usb to my Mac and then I am using the analogue outputs to go into my mastering outboard gear and from the gear I get into the ADi2 PRO fs through the 2 analog inputs. What is the setting to be used in the menu in order to get this setting right, monitor and record on my DAW?

Factory setting will do.

Maybe you need to activate Class Compliant Mode
( SETUP / Options / Device Mode - DSD / CC-Mode: Stereo ),
I’m not sure it’s part of the factory setting.

Stereo or Multichannel is not related to CC. CC is always available. And for mastering multichannel usually makes more sense, as it allows to also listen to the DAW signal via phones out channels 3/4 or the digital outputs.
