RME User Forum → ADI-2 & 2/4 Pro series, ADI-2 DAC series → My ADI-2 PRO Fs R BE shows 98 as currently installed firmware.
Bought my unit in early March last year. I am intrigued about the fact that when turning the unit on, the number 98 is displayed on the unit's screen, not 97, as it should correspond to the most current firmware. I noticed this from day one but never got up to inquire about its meaning.

Matthias, thanks for your response. I thought that the Sticky shown above (second entry on this forum page) corresponded to designations of the DAC and Pro latest firmware. Accordingly, I thought that the "97" in the Sticky's Pro caption indicated the number of the corresponding firmware version.

A sticky does not mean to describe the very latest state. The website download has all the latest drivers and firmwares. We are at DAC 34/34 and Pro 238/98 now. The differences are small, have been mentioned in various threads, and are not worth a 'sticky'.
