Topic: ADI-2 DAC FS Loudness - Setting Reference Level with Remote Control

Every loudness function needs a reference level. RME has selected "Low Vol Ref".

"Low Vol Ref" is set for a specific audio source. This audio source has a fixed mastering level (e.g. "Mastering Low"), which was set when the audio source was produced.

When listening to a "Mastering High" audio source, the reference level "Low Vol Ref" is wrong.

Automatic adjustment is not possible with high-end equipment. Hence my idea:

Adjust the reference level with the remote control.

A long press on the "LD" button of the remote control sets the reference level "Low Vol Ref" to the value currently set for the volume control.

Really smart & useful too!

I agree, good idea!
My TV outputs 6 or 7 dB lower than my other sources, that would be a clever solution to this "issue" smile
