Topic: ADI-2 PRO fs stuck on 44.1

I cannot change the sample rate, it is greyed out in the ADI-2, and in Windows 10 it only shows 44.1 options.  I installed the new firmware and have the driver dated 11/25/2020

Any ideas?

Re: ADI-2 PRO fs stuck on 44.1

What is connected to the ADI-2 ?

M1-Sonoma, Madiface Pro, Digiface USB, Babyface silver and blue

Re: ADI-2 PRO fs stuck on 44.1

Hi waedi, thanks for the reply!

Nothing is connected, I have it in loopgback, connected to a Dell running Win10 latest MADI driver and updated firmware.

Thanks for your help!

Re: ADI-2 PRO fs stuck on 44.1

Where do you see it's 44.1 ?
on the front screen of the ADI-2 ?
Or in the computer ?

Is this the RME settings program ?
Has windows system audio settings also an option to change sample rate ?
Is a DAW running set to 44.1 ?

Is the option showing when the unit is disconnected ?

M1-Sonoma, Madiface Pro, Digiface USB, Babyface silver and blue

Re: ADI-2 PRO fs stuck on 44.1

I can select any sample rate when the USB is disconnected, when connected to the PC, it reverts to 44.1.  In Windows Sound setup only 44.1 options are available.

Thanks again

Re: ADI-2 PRO fs stuck on 44.1

What is the purpose ?
Listening a high rate audiofile ?
Or recording a high rate file ?
Have you a DAW ? can you select a sample rate for it ?

Re: ADI-2 PRO fs stuck on 44.1

The PC does have several audio programs, REW, Sound Forge on it that I want the ADI-2 to work with, but none seem to be able to force higher than 44.1 operation.

Greyed out in the ADI-2 - does that mean in the Madiface USB Settings dialog? It is only greyed out in there when in use by ASIO.

Correct. It changes automatically through any ASIO app or manual changes in the Madiface Series Settings dialog.

REW and SoundForge both support ASIO. It seems you did not select that option in these programs.
