Hoping that someone might help

I am hoping that you might be able to help me


I have just taken delivery an ADI-2 DAC and  cannot get it to decode the output from my Cyrus CD Transport. 

It is showing in the status as sync 44.1 pro 16

i have borrowed another CD player and that works fine showing sync 44.1 cons 16


so I am guessing that there is a setting relating to the pro output ?  but cant for the life of me find how to adjust it

The status as sync 44.1 ... is only a display.  Nothing can be set here.
Connect the Cyrus CD Transport to another DAC to test the correct function.
Take another CD.

How is the CD player connected to the ADI ?
With a toslink optical cable ?

However, can you listen music ?

As I understand the usermanual, the device is from factory set to auto-mode.
You have nothing to do more than connect an audio source and the ADI detect and play it automatic.
cons 16 and pro 16 is not described it is probably not of need to know nor to do something.
"44.1 cons 16" this info is detected from the cd player signal and sync means OK.

Thanks for the responses.
So far I can get no sound from the Cyrus at all,  The level meters dont move

If I connect an arcam then yes all is fine

I can connect the Cyrus to a project Dac or an old music fidelity V dac and confirm it is working.  changing nothing on the ADI just plugging in the coaxial but no sound or movement on the ADI.

I have tried both optical and coaxial and weirdly get nothing.   

I suppose I could have a go at a factory reset  and the USB input is great !

Sounds very weird.
May be a firmware update must be done ?

Come on @ waedi - linking to totally outdated stuff?

@ chopcat: the channel status PRO is not valid for a coaxial/optical output. The ADI doesn't care, it will work, but I think that this very unusually display points to some more wrong channel status info, and that then might make our DAC mute its input signal.

You should contact the CD player manufacturer and report this issue.

Brilliant.  Yes I am coming to the conclusion that it is the CDT that has the problem.
