Topic: Saving EQ Settings?

Hi, I'm a new ADI-2 Dac owner and I'm really struggling to save a basic manually set EQ. It really is not intuitive at all unless I'm being a complete muppet (which is entirely possible!).

1. Hit the EQ button to go into EQ settings
2. Use the Volume and 2 controls to adjust the EQ settings
3. press the EQ button again to get into the EQ menu screen
4. Use the 1 and 2 buttons to move up and down and to name the setting

But how do you select the Preset slot to save it to and how do you save it?

Re: Saving EQ Settings?

Hi .....

Download the manual, https://www.rme-audio.de/downloads/adi2dacr_e.pdf

Guess you mean Parametric EQ:
Read Chapter 13,  page 24 and 25 :-)

Selection is "Manual", "Temp", after that are the available slot, select an empty one, or overwrites an existing one.

Re: Saving EQ Settings?

Thanks. I found the issue in the end - I wasn't pressing and holding the 2 button for 2 seconds to save!

I would love a way of setting EQ on an app and then downloading to the unit. That would make it so much easier and serve as a backup if you wiped the presets by mistake.

Re: Saving EQ Settings?

Glad you made it.

To keep the settings record, best way is write it down on a paper, put inside the printed manual as a bookmark at the related page. On that paper, you can write some tips for yourself so you don't need to dig into the manual again in future.

Enjoy music from the DAC, you will have wonderful time with it :-)

By the way, check if you have the latest firmware, if not, update it.

Funny that we have to do it this way these days!

More or less what I do, just that I use an Excel sheet that I keep in the iCloud, so I have access from several devices.

I am an old man, next month I will be 61 ... :-P

Though I use Apple products, sometimes I want quick access to a checklist, old fashioned way.

Yep, one of the first things I did. Service and support was one of the main factors I went for the RME. Something I think is overlooked by many reviewers.

Best reviewers are in this forum :-)

Looking back, seems like a long time, but I only got my new DAC for two weeks ... Ha ....
