Topic: Using ADI-2 DAC FS with Antelope Orion Studio Synergy Core

I just registered to this forum. Nice to be here.
I just bought a ADI-2 DAC FS and would like to use it with my Antelope audio interface.
I am into mixing and mastering, no recording with microphones and instruments. Only virtual instruments within DAW.
I am on Mac, speakers are PMC TwoTwo 6.
After reading on the ADI, I thought that I could benefit from it's great DA conversion if I add it to my actual system.
Anyone would share some knowledge on how to use ADI with my audio interface?

Connect ADI-2 to the SPDIF- or ADAT-out of the Antelope Orion Studio Synergy Core.
Then connect headphones and maybe your speakers to ADI-2.

Route the monitor outs of your DAW to Antelope’s SPDIF- (ADAT-) out.

Thank you very much for your answer.
I will receive the ADI sometime next week.
I will be back here to report if all went well and also if I gained in sound quality using the ADI converter instead of Antelope's.

This unit is simply amazing!
I used it as a USB interface since I don't record. Only mixing and mastering.
I wanted truth and transparency when mixing. I found it with the ADI-2 DAC FS

I too have an Orion Studio and am interested in knowing more about your experience with the ADI-2 DAC FS.

Have you tried combing the two interfaces over S/PDIF?

Would you say RME is outperforming Antelope's monitor outputs?
