Topic: ADI-2 Pro input selection for digital output mode

Hi,

I have been using the digital output (spdif coax) of the ADI-2 pro, with usb (from pc) and spdif coax (for streamer) as digital inputs, but the part that I cannot figure out is how do I explicitly select or switch the input between usb and spdif. The problem is that current automatic switching doesn't switch to usb from spdif coax if I have been using spdif coax and want to start using usb as source (or vice versa). Is there any specific mode, setting I can use to make inpout selection possible using the remote input selection?

Thanks,

Dehati

Re: ADI-2 Pro input selection for digital output mode

I suggest to use ADI-2 Pro in DAC-Mode (manual page 43).
It’s the most simplistic Mode, best suited for typical home use:

SETUP / Options / Device Mode-DSD / Basic Mode : DAC

If you want to use an external DA-Converter, with ADI-2’s full processing functionality, switch:

SETUP / Options / Device Mode-DSD / Dig. Out Source: Main Out

Now the digital out signal follows the VOLUME control “post DSP”.

SETUP / Options / Device Mode-DSD / Dig. Out Source: Default
delivers the digital signal at full volume and without DSP processing, reducing ADI-2 Pro’s Digital Out to it’s USB / SPDIF / Analog Interface Function.

Perfect! Thanks a lot.
