Topic: [Solved] ADI-2 DAC FS ( V1) and upsampling to DSD

I have the V1 of the ADI-2 DAC FS and connected this via USB to a RPi4 with RopieeXL.
I wanted to play a bit around with upsampling in Roon to DSD, but strangely I do not have the option to do so, 768 kHz is max.
I have read that people are using DSD256 with this configuration, so I must miss something, but I do not know what I am missing.
So any hint is much appreciated.

P.S. Please no discussion about upsampling to DSD256 in general, I just want to try it out for myself to see/hear what it does or not. THX!

you need to use DoP as that's the dsd encoding method supported by the machine.

i don't use roon but according to https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/ … o_play_DSD

you need to set "DSD Playback Strategy" to  "DSD over PCM v1.0 (DoP)".

"Native" option will not work.

Thx, I have activated this option.
Still no upsampling possible.
In device setup I can see max DSD sampling rate 256.
It seems it is more a Roon problem, rather than on the ADI-2 or Roopieee side.

Found it, I had also to deactivate DSP Volume in Roon. Now it works. :-)
