Topic: Connecting ANALOG OUT to LINE IN question

I have a question:

Is it possible to get a audio signal from the analog out of an interface (FIREFACE e.g.) into a line level input of another device (OCTAMIC e.g.)?

Every device has its own sound, so I am wondering if it is possible to get another flavor to a signal that way, especially when you don’t have other external hardware gear?

I am very curious about the answer….

Yes, but one of the good qualities of all rme gear is that it has no flavour but is neutral. For flavour you should use a device that has very obvious flavour, like a tube preamp or other analog gear.

Thank you. I prefer neutral signal pathways too. But I was able to test a SPL CRESCENDO once and though their philosophy is also to provide the cleanest signal possible, just to run audio through it gave the signal more depth.

I do acoustic music mainly, that’s why I love companies like RME.
