I’ve seen lots of “new” CR-2032 with 3.3 V unloaded, with the Voltage breaking down under load.
Brand labels are no guarantee for quality either- fakes and expired ones are sold online.

Absolutely correct. When it came time to select a battery, upon opening the newest packages and measuring the voltage, it turned out that the required values of 3.25–3.3V were observed in about a quarter of cases, with the rest being in the lower range, down to 2.9V.

If you still can find a Logitech Harmony Remote, it would be a perfect solution. No battery needed, because she has a Loader and with Logitech’s Library you can install all the settings. Moreover, greater distance possible from the Adi Dac than with Adi dac Remote.

The Logitech Harmony Remote is a huge, heavy brick, excessively bulky for controlling just one audio device. I might be interested in it if I needed a remote to control a dozen devices, but most of my devices are not controlled via IR. I chose the iHandy IH-830J+L because its shape, size, and even button layout are extremely close to the stock remote, yet it has just enough additional buttons for me to map all the functions I need for the ADI‑2 and the playback audio device.
