Topic: [SOLVED : Always check the basic stuff ]Hi can anyone help me please?

*Please understand that I am using a translator.

My equipment is:

- RME babyface pro fs
- Genelec 8330 monitor speakers
- M1 Macbook

- Belkiin Thunderbolt4 dock station

I recently cleaned up my studio and moved my equipment home.

As usual, I connected the audio cables and re-installed the equipment at home,

and as shown in the picture, the master output level set to AN 1/2 is increased,
( screen shot link : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h-e5RO … sp=sharing )

but there is no sound from the Genelec 8330 monitor speakers.

The headphones work, and when I create a new page in GLM and set the speaker positions,
I get white noise, so it doesn't seem to be a speaker problem.

If you know how to solve this problem, please leave a comment.

Thank you for reading.

Which picture? In case you do not know how to post pictures on RME forum:
https://www.tonstudio-forum.de/blog/Ent … rum-EN-DE/

Is this a new Babyface Pro FS or did you get it from used market?

Since when do you have the problem? Was it already working properly?

Did you check that you use the latest firmware and drivers?
Did you try a total reset of TotalMix FX?
Not 100% sure whether this could be an issue here, but as CC mode should not be used here, is CC mode deactivated?

- This is a new device that I bought 2 years ago.

- It started exactly one day ago. I was busy with other things so I didn't have much time to worry about it.

- Both rme total mix and genelec glm have updated to the latest firmware.

- Totalmix has also been reset several times.

- This is the result of testing both CC mode and PC mode alternately.

Submix to Analog 1/2 OUT looks fine.
Are you sure that you connected the BBF Pro FS to the proper input of the Genelec active monitors?
Or could it be that you configured the Genelec Speakers by their software, to use only the AES inputs?

Can you plug a loop
- from AN1 OUT to AN1 IN
- from AN2 OUT to AN2 IN
to see whether you see an outgoing signal?

Oh my gosh, I'm so embarrassed I want to hide in a mouse hole.
I've been so focused on other things when it's such a simple problem.

I should always prioritize the basics....

I think I've been so focused on other things than sound and music that I've lost my mind and haven't been able to pay attention...

Thank you rames, I really appreciate it and it reminds me again that the basics are always important.

And .. 안녕하세요! (Annyeonghaseyo!) A warm welcome to our (I think) first member from Korea :-)
Make yourself at home and enjoy your time in the forum! I hope that it is not a HW defect and that we can solve your issue.

Ah, it was the patching at the Genelec :-)
Well, no problem, all mistakes are there, they only wait for being made :-)
Glad that I could help.
If there should be any additional issue, do not hesitate to ask on the forum.

Nice day to you, too. :-)
