Topic: ADI-2 Pro FS R BE and Linux
Hello,
I recently purchased an ADI-2 Pro FS R BE. One of my use cases is to send either the analog input 1 and 2 or the SPDIF coax input to a computer running Linux, apply convolution on the computer, and send back out to the ADI-2 Pro as a USB DAC.
When I am running the unit in USB mode with Stereo CC mode, I have no issue grabbing the analog inputs, applying convolution, and sending back out to the DAC. However, I can't seem to get access to the SPDIF coax inputs. When I am running the unit in USB mode with multi-channel mode, arecord specifies that it sees 6 input channels, but I get errors regarding trying to receive on a closed channel. I am using the latest firmware on the ADI-2 Pro.
So I have a couple of questions:
1) Does multichannel mode work under Linux for this unit?
2) If the answer to the above is "no", is there a way to get at the SPDIF coax inputs on the computer when running in stereo mode?
Thanks for any info.
