Topic: Firenet AIO

Hi there, just wondered if anyone from RME could comment on the proposed Firenet AIO device.
MC said in January that "The successor of the AVB Tool is called Firenet AIO and available in the near future."
Not heard any more about it's release and wondered if anyone had any more info.
From what I understand it would fit very well into my (and others) workflow.
Looking for an interface with a high(ish) Dante count along with Madi and some analog I/O - would work very well alongside my 12 Mic- Dante.
Already have the Digiface Dante, but was after more Dante I/O and more analog I/O
Long time user and owner of RME devices - don't make be buy a DAD Core256 !!

Many thanks

Adam

Re: Firenet AIO

I gave up on this and am looking into something like the Mtrx studio.

Re: Firenet AIO

So over a thousand views and no reply from RME, that's a shame as the device has been seen in the wild and has been mentioned by RME.
I can only assume that they have cancelled or delayed the product due to issues with it or the supply chain.
Everybody will have their idea of an ideal interface and I was hoping this one might have been mine.

Personally I was looking for a device with a high Dante count with some Madi and preferably some analog i/o

Current options are:
DAD AX Center - nice but very expensive
DAD Core256 - nice but no analog
RME HDSPe AoX-D with the two Madi daughter cards in a thunderbolt PCIe enclosure - probably the best value and highest channel count, but no analog.

Think the RME PCIe card is my best option (will have to put up with no analog i/o).

If we are building our dream interface then mine would be one with the Dante and Madi capabilities of the HDSPe AoX-D with the Madi daughter cards  - don't need the AES or MIDI - plus a little analog i/o - say 4 mic inputs, 2 line outputs and a headphone output.

That would be a great product !

We can all dream.......

UFX III has no Dante unfortunately
