Topic: ADI-6432 : How to connect to MIDI remote software on Windows

Hello,

- RME ADI-6432 MIDI Remote software is open
- USB 2.0 MIDI is selected (IN and OUT)
- DINs are plugged (in > out & out > in) into ADI-6432
- no other MIDI periphericals except UFX3 via USB (not "USB 2.0 MIDI" port)
- REMOTE button is on "DIN" on the ADI-6432 pannel
- all IDs is selected
- MIDI I/O is started
- I tried all Baud rates

Results :
- a LED is slowly blinking on the interface of the MIDI CABLE and at the same speed on the ADI-6432 pannel (MIDI DIN)
- if I try to change something in the software, the LED shows an extra blink but that's all
- software status is : "no response: all IDs"
- the software informations do not replicate the ADI-6432 pannel

Can you tell me what's wrong ?

Did you test the MIDI cable with, for example, Midi Tools? https://mountainutilities.eu/miditools
Do you have input an output messages?

Thank you for the lead.

Well, this shows that the cable is OK with my AKAI master keyboard (infos are recorded into miditools).

When I replace the AKAI with the ADI-6432, there must be a conflict. Still no response and miditools does not seem to connect either.

The ADI-6432 receives something (LED blinks) but do not capture it. No anwer back.

The hardware mode is set to DIN (AC switch reboot while remote button is pressed).

I have a huge experience in many technologies but I am a pure newbee in MIDI.
It may be a I/O problem ?
My MIDI interface is the basic wire with an USB on one side and 2 DINs at the other. No driver needed.

First check with Midi Tools your Midi USB cable by looping back with with a cable. So from in to out. Send something out (with the virtual keyboard) and that must arrive in the input. If that works you connect the 6432 and select the correct midi din port in Midi Remote (Midi USB)
