Topic: Daisy chaining MADI devices / M1620 Pro

Hi,

I use an RME UFX+ connected to 3 MADI devices.

The optical MADI port has two daisy chained SPL Madisons, and the Coax MADI port is connected to my Eventide H9000. I run MADI in split mode.

I’m thinking of replacing one of my SPL units with an M1620 Pro, but curious how daisy chaining the other Madison will work.

How are the channels for each device assigned? On the Madison, there is a front panel switch to identify it’s position in a daisy chain, but looking through the M1620 Pro manual was vague on how this is set.

Any tips / advice?
Will this work?

Re: Daisy chaining MADI devices / M1620 Pro

In the M-1620, you have single channel routing among all analog and digital I/O channels. You would need to manually route MADI input channels to MADI output channels for whatever you want to "pass through", and add on the analog inputs to unused MADI output channels.
