Topic: digiface dante brooklyn II vs. brooklyn III - liveprofessor difference

Hi,

I have built a redundant liveprofessor system consisting of 2 identical configured systems of 2 mac minis, a directout exbox.md and 2 rme digiface dante. one of the digifaces is an older brooklyn II variant. the system runs stable and the redundancy has never been triggered in real life situations.
what I want to ask about is, what could be the reason that the brooklyn II digiface shows a lot more errors (dropouts) in liveprofessor, like dozens of such errors. the brooklyn III digiface shows no errors (dropouts) or maybe 1 over the period of several hours. these errors would be heard as small clicks in the audio.

I remember that I had once a driverversion for the brooklyn II digiface, where I had rarely errors, unfortunately I dont know what version that was.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

If you ever see diagnostic errors in Fireface USB Settings you have a problem that needs to be resolved. If it's audible but doesn't show as an actual error that makes resolution more difficult.

It's possible that exchanging cables, using a different USB port, using a different USB chipset (like via a dock) can resolve the issue. But conventional wisdom at the moment is to run the CC driver for the Digiface Dante if you're encountering any errors on macOS.
