Topic: Digiface + HDSPE PCI DK 1.5

I see that the Digiface isn’t mentioned in the DK driver device list, and this tracks as I’ve been unable to leverage it on an M1 Mini when only the HDSPE PCI card is installed. In an interesting turn, though: if I install the drivers with a RayDAT card installed next to the HDSPE PCI, all interfaces are installed and recognized. Will we see the HDSPE PCI/Digiface supported beyond the legacy kernel extension drivers? Seems like there’s just some minor bug preventing them from working without a newer card present.

Re: Digiface + HDSPE PCI DK 1.5

The latest Mac driver I can find for the hdspe Digiface is the 425 driver from 2025 01 17
https://rme-audio.de/downloads/driver_hdspe_mac_425.zip
Supports intel and M-Macs
From the readme it seems to be a Kext driver not DK, but it is a working driver released recently for a very old interface
be happy with it.

Not sure how my tone indicated otherwise, but I’m very happy with the length of support, but you seemed the miss the spirit of my post. I have a RayDAT as well, so I’m pretty well future proofed. My point was that the DK driver recognizes the older interfaces just fine so long as my RayDAT is installed along side them, so it appears the support is baked in there. I was curious if this means an updated DK driver might happen that officially supports them.

Thanks for explaining again.
A very rare case and interesting effect.
I think only RME can tell

Re: Digiface + HDSPE PCI DK 1.5

The driver is for the PCIe card, not for the Digiface USB.

If you choose the Multiface or AIO Pro, you will find a link to this page explaining the need to have firmware updated before installing DK:
https://rme-audio.de/driverkit-info-hdspe.html
and ultimately to the driver:
https://rme-audio.de/downloads/driver_m … dk_115.zip

I don't know why the Digiface isn't listed or why selecting the Digiface doesn't lead to this page, that's an oversight...
