Topic: Mac Zoom app audio input beyond audio in 1-8 in UFX+

I used to use audio out 1 and 2 with loopback to use microphone with Zoom - it was the only option several years ago.  In that way, I could not use precious audio input 1 and 2 for my other gears.

Today I connected a synth physically on audio 1 and 2 input and tried some left over output such as adat 3/4 as loop back.  Unfortunately in Zoom (mac), I only see audio in 1-8 as input channel under UFX+.  I do not see the rest channels as option.

Do I need to activate something to use inputs other than "audio in 1-8" as loopback on settings?

I asked google AI, it only gave me options in windows, but not in mac.

Can anyone help me?

Many thanks in advance.

Do you connect the interface with USB cable today and years ago you did connect with thunderbolt cable ?

Thunderbolt always for several years.  Using firmware v112, driver v1.25.  - all most uptodate firmware and drivers.

Your MacOS is older than MacOS 11 ?

What options are these ? May be it points to a useful direction ?

In Win, one has to set in interface driver, how many channels are visible/accesible to Win applications.

With UFX+/UFX III (MADIface driver) it is different Kubrak.
You are free in the selection of I/O ports for WDM drivers, not only a number and a fixed range from 1..n.

Yvawo, do you see all channels in the Audio-Midi-Setup or only 1 to 8 ?

May be Zoom app takes 8 channels only ?

I see every channel on audio midi setup.  Does anyone from RME know how to set this up?  WDM is the google AI's answer as DAW Mastermind pointed out.

I see many similar posts of RME products having difficulties with Zoom in other forums without any solution.  For the time being, I will just turn off synth connected to audio in 1-2 when using zoom.

If anyone figure out how to show other channels in zoom, that would be great.

What I would try : create an aggregate device with UfX+ only, then in Zoom select that one aggregate device.

UFX+ provides all audio channels to the computer system, but Zoom fails to adapt.
Look out for Zoom updates.
