Topic: asio driver gone missing

(Supposedly) since the latest update for Windows 11 25H2 all asio functionality for the ADI-2/4 pro is gone.

The interface still works with windows own drivers, but fireface/madiface vanished from the list of devices.

The interface also vanished from roons device list, probably due to the same reason.

The windows update in question is KB5086672, 26200.8117. It was installed on my system on march 30th.

Maybe rme drivers found there way  to Microsofts blocklist.

And re-installing driver and cold-reboot of the computer did not help ?

No problem here with 2026-03 Update (KB5086672) (26200.8117)

  • MADIFace USB Driver date 20.01.26 Driver version 1.015 Hardware Revison 267 : OK

  • DigiCheck NG 0.93 : OK

  • ADI-2 Remote 2.1 : OK

Would also reinstall MADIFace and restart Windows and ADI-2/4 first.

Is a cleaning program running ? Anti virus software ?

Other user accounts ? Computer used by kids for gaming and playing around ?

Does ADI-2 remote app work ?

Thank you all.

Problem solved, sort of. I had switched antivirus from Kaspersky to Microsoft Defender, which caused the trouble.

After reverting back to Kaspersky everything is as it is supposed to be.

Not sure which feature of Defender ihaa been causing this.

Everything back to normal operation now.
