Topic: Mismatched Drivers

I noticed this whilst adjusting setting on my pc.

The driver version listed in System > Sound > Properties doesn't match the driver version listed in MADIface Series Settings.

For reference I'm using ADI-2 DAC FS with Windows 11 with latest updates.

Is this normal, or a potential bug?

Thank you

Re: Mismatched Drivers

The driver you are looking at in the system properties of Windows is the MME (Multimedia Extensions) and WASAPI (Windows Audio Session API) driver and can be selected by the name >Analog (1+2)< or >Output (RME ****)<.

The driver you are looking at in the MADIface Series Settings is the ASIO (Audio Stream Input/Output) driver and can only be selected in programs which support ASIO, under the name >ASIO MADIface USB<.

Example in Foobar2000 (German "Ausgang" = Output, "Lautsprecher" = Speaker):
